Fight the drab winter with bright colours

Winter might be a grey and colourless season, so it’s time to fight back by going crazy with colours in the months ahead. There’s no reason to stick to greys and blacks just because the sky’s doing the same – have a look at some of the plus size skirts and dresses from Simply Be and you’ll see that there are plenty of options for assembling a vibrant look for the colder months.

Blues, greens, purples and pinks all look great on a winter outfit, especially in knitted form. For footwear, you want something practical that keeps your feet dry, but this doesn’t have to be boring – there are some great funky wellies out there in a massive range of patterns and colours. Be as bold as you want with these, as they’re there to make a statement.

You’ll also want a solid, reliable winter coat, and this is one item that doesn’t have to be bright and bold – worn with vibrant colours elsewhere, a plain brown or grey coat will actually make them stand out even more. Above all, you want something warm: faux fur trims look fantastic, while a long tweed duffle coat is a stylish way to keep the cold at bay.
